Commodore’s Welcome

Hi Everybody

My name is Simon Judge, and I am Commodore of the Pike & Eel Boat Club for the 2026 season.

Our 2026 diary of events has been finalised, and we have an exciting and varied Diary of Events lined up, including cruising options to: –

Ely & Five Miles Inn
Brampton
St Ives Noble’s Field

We also have many marina-based options this year, so if you fancy a Pirates night, a Bingo Evening, an Australian day with BBQ. or one of many other options then why not check the website Diary of Events page to see what’s on offer.

Our friendly membership often has impromptu ‘get togethers’ at the Marina, which tends to entail meeting around our quirky and unique thatched Clubhouse.

During the better weather, we roll out the BBQ & firepit and sit around chatting with friends whilst eating, drinking and playing music, but beware, these meetings can go on long into the night!!

For larger more formal events such as our 60th anniversary Diamond Regatta (3rd-5th July 2026) which this year has a theme of ‘Hollywood Glitz’) we put up our marquees to give us privacy and protection from any weather which the boating gods might throw at us.

We also have two formal events in the year (Commodore’s Welcome Party and the Laying Up Supper) which feature sit down meals plus entertainment in the main Pike & Eel Hotel.

The Pike & Eel Marina has so much going for it – with the Hotel having recently reconfigured the snug area and added a pool table, it’s definitely not a place to miss!
